Aciagrion macrootithenae Pinhey, 1972
Awl-tipped Slim
Type locality: Lisombo River, Mwinilunga, Zambia
Diagnosis
Male is similar to A. gracile by (a) greater size, Hw 20-25 mm; (b) cerci with rounded apex and tooth-like ventral process close to base and often concealed; (c) paraprocts clearly longer and larger than cerci, with tooth always dorsal and very basal (often concealed in S10) and apex swollen and rounded (lateral and caudal view). However, differs by (1) ranging only from NW Zambia to Katanga; (2) apex of cerci not swollen, thus ventral process extends beyond it. [Adapted from Dijkstra & Clausnitzer 2014]
Habitat description
