Habitat description

Streams and standing waters in open landscapes. Often with emergent and aquatic vegetation. Tolerant of brackish water and at hot water springs. From 0 to 1100 m above sea level, but mostly below 400.

Distribution

confirmed: Algeria; Egypt; Libya; Morocco; Tunisia
