Diagnosis

Habitat description
Mostly rivers, but also streams, in open areas in forest, but sometimes shaded by gallery forest. Usually with coarse detritus and often dead trunks and/or probably overhanging branches to trap floating organic material required for egg-laying. From 0 to 800 m above sea level, but possibly up to 1500.
