Diagnosis

No diagnosis of this distinct species (the only wholly orange male in the Upper Guinea) is presently available.

Habitat description

Mostly streams, but also rivers, shaded by forest, but possibly also in open areas in forest. Probably often with submerged roots, dead trunks or branches and/or coarse detritus. From 100 to 800 m above sea level, but mostly below 600.
